CloudCone is the "I need a server that costs almost nothing" option. At $20/year, it's cheaper than most domain renewals. You get 1 core, 1GB RAM, 14GB SSD, and 1TB bandwidth — enough for lightweight services.
Honestly, my CloudCone instance is mostly idle. The specs are too low for anything serious. But if you need a cheap VPN endpoint, a DNS resolver, or just want to experiment without spending much, it does the job.
