FirstPromoter is one of the oldest and most established affiliate platforms for SaaS. It supports the broadest range of billing providers including Stripe, Paddle, and Recurly — if you use Recurly, this may be your only good option.
The feature set is comprehensive: referral programs, influencer tracking, partner management, and a strong analytics dashboard. The large user base means plenty of community resources and best practices to draw from.
However, the platform hasn't evolved much recently. Newer competitors like Rewardful and Tolt offer better UX and more modern features at similar prices. The revenue caps on each plan can also be frustrating as your program grows.
Choose FirstPromoter if you value stability and need Recurly support. Otherwise, the newer options are generally better.
