Claims Singapore location but IP doesn't match — a costly lesson in due diligence.

Mon experience

I bought GreenVPS specifically for the Singapore location, hoping for better connectivity from China. Big mistake. After purchasing, I discovered the IP address doesn't actually geolocate to Singapore — not even close.

The network quality was poor: high latency, unstable connections, and frequent packet loss. The control panel looks identical to RackNerd's (possibly the same SolusVM-based system), which makes me wonder if they're just reselling.

Lesson learned: never trust the listed data center location. Always verify the actual IP geolocation and run speed tests before committing. Tools like ipinfo.io and bench.sh are your friends.

I've abandoned this VPS. Including it here as a cautionary tale.

Avantages

  • +Reasonable specs for the price (4C8G88G for $88/yr)
  • +Multiple Asian location options listed
  • +Control panel looks similar to SolusVM

Inconvenients

  • Advertised Singapore location but actual IP geolocation doesn't match
  • Poor network quality, high latency, unstable
  • Misleading marketing about server locations

Ideal pour

Not recommended. If you consider it, verify the actual IP location before purchasing.
